Whether your participating in one or multiple apprenticeships, the most important thing is that you're learning. Here are some things you can do to learn as much as you can:
1. Ask for help.
This is an obvious one. Don't be scared to say, "I don't know. Can you help me?" Your mentors are there to teach you—let them do their jobs.
2. Do your own research.
When you have free time, do some research about the digital marketing world. There are some things that you can learn on your own. The nice thing is, if you find something that confuses you during your research, you can ask your mentor about it.
3. Take some GenM training courses.
They're there for a reason. And they're free.
4. Manage your time wisely.
When you have one apprenticeship, managing your time isn't as difficult. When you have three, it can get a little tricky. Here are some tips: (1) Do not start your apprenticeships at the same time; (2) Do not bite off more than you can chew; (3) Try using time management apps, like Taskade and Trello; and (4) always allot time for rest.
Burning out is a horrible experience, but stress can bring you very close. We don't want you to stress—we want you to learn.
5. Make a list of key takeaways every week or month.
Make a list of what you've learned and things that you might use in the future.
6. Make a list of more things you want to learn every week or month.
Make a list of the things you still want to learn and when you want to learn them and ask your mentor about it.
7. Ask your mentor who his/her mentors are and follow them on social media.
A lot of marketers share their experiences on social media. After all, what says "I'm a good marketer," better than being able to promote themselves. They usually post quality content that you can learn from. You can also observe their design style, the tools they use, and more.
8. If you feel that the apprenticeship is not working, reach out to our success team.
